is a whiny douchebag who will never be able to live up to accomplishments of his brothers

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2984974

Eli should be looking at himself and how to improve instead of bitching and blaming others for the Giants finish last season.

Who all remembers Eli crying about being drafted to the last place Chargers and threatening not to play for them. Now the Chargers are one of the most powerful teams in football being led by Philip Rivers and LaDainian Tomlinson

i actually agree with him responding to Tiki like that. It's kind of easy to sit in an anchor chair and talk shit about the past like tiki did. Tiki did sell out on the Giants last year thou.

"While Barber praised Manning at times for his play, he also questioned whether he could be a leader of men and make plays when the chips were down.

"His personality hasn't been so that he can step up, make a strong statement and have people believe that it's coming from his heart," Barber said on the show.

Barber then told the story about Manning being uncomfortable talking to the offense in Week 12.

"He didn't feel like his voice was going to be strong enough and it showed," Barber said. "Sometimes it was almost comical the way that he would say things."

LOL, people already knew this about Eli, but to hear a teammate say it just makes it that much funnier.

I've got a mental picture of Eli's voice cracking in the pre-game huddle as he tries to muster up the courage to lead a team.

this is the official "no giants fan better post in this thread even once" post

this retarded shit has been argued for and against so many times that any faggot who keeps making threads like this needs to get up and get out and get some fresh air and actually watch some football this season

As if every person on this board didn't already know this. I do like a good "Eli is a bitch" thread though. These never get old.

why would you want to play with a shitty back like ladainian (who's about to retire) in frigid ass san diego when you can play with the best football player in the league (barber) in a warm new jersey climate? i mean he totally would've been a top 5 pick if his name happened to be Eli Smith

Tiki is just desperate to be in TV, and is saying whatever he can to solidify his spot as a sports anchor.

I think Eli did the right thing in saying what he felt about Tiki, especially after he used his past team to gain that advantage...

Well no shit since Peyton is one of the best QBs to play in the NFL in a very very very long time. And maybe I am missing something, but his younger brother has not accomplished more the last time I looked.

The point is that his brother is so good, he took a barely mediocre college quarterback and made him a superstar in the eyes of many .

^^^ never speak badly about Archie in the presence of a New Orleans native.

it's no secret that he spent the majority of his career running for his damned life.

----------

Eli has no younger brother and that should be ultra-obvious. His oldest brother is two years older than Peyton, but he got spinal stenosis and had to stop playing football. Now he's a stock trader and not doing that badly.

Last I heard he was going to be out for three to four weeks, so I hope that your other quarterback's worth a crap.

the Eli vs. Chargers' owners issue was the Chargers fault. they're douchebags for the most part. they gave Rivers hell during contract signing as well, and later decided to toilet Phil's career by hiring Norv Turner.

^ I agree. The Chargers are serious douchebags when it comes to negotiating contracts with their draft picks. Eli is still a whiny bitch though and yes Norv Turner was a shitty hire IMO. Why is he considered to be an "offensive genius"? He and Brian Billick have the same reps, but without any recent proof to support those reputation.

Got a good chuckle out of that first post. Eli was a pussy, but he and his dad clearly made the right move avoiding San Diego. Fuck Eli

you know he did this so he'd be on the hall of fame ballot by himself before brady/brees/roethlisberger/rivers

Yeah. He only retired now because of that. Not because he was the only one of those QBs to not be a regular starter in 2019 (Big Ben was hurt, but would’ve been starting full time).

2-time Super Bowl MVP. 4-time pro bowler. He made household names out of nobody receivers who then went on to accomplish nothing after they left NY.

He had one of his best statistical seasons in 2015, while the team built around him was TERRIBLE. And in his last season as a starter, he was sacked a career-high 47 times for 358 yards lost. Because the team built around him was TERRIBLE. The management's refusal to invest in a O-Line post 2012 killed his career.

Eli was always better than people cared to give him credit for. Yes he started his career on a sour note and that reputation stuck with him. But he was not that guy for most of the last 15 years.

117-117 as a starter. Less TDs and more INTs than both Roethlisberger and Rivers.

Also, guys like Plaxico Burress, Jeremy Shockey, Amani Toomer, Victor Cruz and Odell Beckham aren't nobody receivers. Not to mention starting his career with both Tiki Barber and Brandon Jacobs at RB. The Giants never really lacked playmakers alongside Eli, that's some bullshit. Sure later years they struggled finding RBs, but he went from Plax/Toomer to 1st rounder Hakeem Nicks to Cruz to Beckham.
