WHOOOO BOUT THAT TIME

After the horrible 4-12 season last year, I got high, but realistic, hopes for this team. Cadillac is gonna have the year he's supposed to have as opposed to sucking it up last year, we have a QB with all his internals intact, and with Cato June and Gaines Adams on maybe we can start revitalizing our aging defense in the coming seasons. I'll say we're a Wild Card team this year, with Atlanta having their great stroke of luck and the Panthers not looking that formidable so far (yea it's only preseason) 2nd in the division doesn't seem that far of a reach

inked trotter to a one-year today, we're pretty thick at the LB position, but another proven leader wouldn't hurt the team

word on the street is though they're trying to let Simms go, but they don't want to cause atlanta would more than likely scoop em up

and yea turnip, I think the same. After our super bowl season when we new we were defense first and that whole team disbanded, it's like we been lost, still tryna find our identity. I mean we get cato, gaines, philip buchannon is developing more, but like you said we get a older LB and looks like it throws a monkey wrench in.

But trotter is good on the run, as is cato, and of course the general brooks, so trying to work on our run stopping wouldn't hurt. Our offense is another story, coming in the season with 4 qbs, one that dosen't even wanna fucking play, an old WR (who is still a burner) with avg WR help, and the loss of alstott hurts our already stagnant rushing attack

but I still can't say I don't have high hopes for the squad, we looked good in preseason, at least relative to last year. but games ain't played on paper and age averages, so I guess we'll see sunday

I actually like getting Trotter. I know he is old but if it doesn't work out it was just a one year deal so they can't really go wrong. I think the Bucs got a good squad and can make another run at the division just like they did in 2005 after finishing 5-11 in '04.

i think we can get by without cadillac. however losing petigout for the season is very bad. it is very difficult to replace a good veteran left tackle in this league. rookie donald penn is the backup, and while he looked good in the preseason, going into indy and facing freeney is a totally different matchup.

i think graham and pittman will be good, and with garcia i still think the bucs are the team to beat in the south. but i dont like that the bucs are panicking as they called corey dillon during the panthers game.

yeah i fucking hate TB. I laugh that Cadillac got injured. I put the Bucs on my shit list next to the Pats and the NY Giants.

will the trend continue? the last 5 years the last place team in the NFC South has finished in 1st place the next year...last year the Saints won (lost to Bears in NFC Title game)...they finished in 4th the year before when the Bucs won the division...the Bucs finished in dead last the year before that when the Falcons won the division (lost to Eagles in NFC Title game)...the year before the Falcons won the division they finished in 4th while the Panthers won the division (lost to Pats in SB)...the Panthers finished dead last the previous year when Tampa won the division (won SB)

i'm crazy optimistic about the season, but it's only week 5, and losing caddy hurts in the long run, but i'll be damned if we haven't been pretty convincing in our games against our conference rivals
