i saw previews and it doesnt look that different from 07 but im sure the improvents are in the gameplay
unfortunately it comes out for pc in october

winning eleven gameplay used to be a lot better than fifa, but EA is slowly catching up

i usually go with fifa, though, because of the greater number of licensed leagues

i'm still playing the shit out of 07 and can't wait for 08

I'd venture to guess that Ronaldinho is way too quick/agile with the ball for fair online play.

A couple of the older WE/ISS games had a similar problem with Roberto Carlos, but they fixed that somewhere around Winning Eleven 5

FIFA '08 is not as arcade-y as '07. It's a lot harder to score goals, you really have to work for them. The new tricks are pretty cool, but it's almost impossible to pull them off against defenses on higher skill levels (if you happen to, though, it is extremely fulfilling).

Lots of new teams, which is pretty cool, but who the fuck is going to play with teams from the Polish league?

I'll need to put in about 10 more hours before I have a definite opinion on it.

i got it for the wii...probably the best looking game i've seen on the wii thus far, and the controls feel nice. it is very tough to score though, and i wish you could play online against people with a friend on the same console like you can with nba live 08.

I got it yesterday after having it on preorder for months, i got home, installed it
played it for 5 minutes then i was bored. there were seemingly no changes or improvements to the game, i'll be selling it in classifieds if anyone is interested.

My brother just got it for 360 and said it's a lot different from '07. More realistic gameplay, harder to score goals, goalies are better. I haven't seen this in person, but he mentioned something about how it switches to a close 3rd person view for breakaway shots on goal or something like that? He said it was pretty cool, but is hard to score that way.

I am thoroughly impressed with the 360 version. Better commentators, awesome graphics, tons of real licenses and most importantly, vastly improved gameplay. You can't just zigzag down and score off the kickoffs. I've found that through balls are somewhat difficult to get to the right spot but the shooting model and computer AI is great.. I think the only thing I've noticed about the CPU AI is that they sometimes wait to long to get their crosses in from the sides... It's kind of annoying but I get over it.

1st game...played the most amazing game ever

argentina (me) vs. mexico

1-1 at end of regulation, i score in first couple mins. in overtime, they score in the 120 min. to tie it 2-2...go to pk's, they save my 3rd shot, they hit the post on their shot to win so its tied and i score my 6th and block their 7th shot to win 6-5 in pk's...

guess you just had to be there, they need top 10 game rankings

My only problem is I always hit the top bar on my shots, and haven't quite figured out the timing on my through balls.

ive had this for over a month and exclusively play either on xbl or against my friends, never really play the computer, its just not as fun and they hold onto the ball the whole time...when you play people, its back and forth up and down the field, way better games

i think you have to create a player, or maybe you can train an existing one.

ive done it once, but cant guarantee if it was out of training mode.

apparently you have to follow a bunch of rules in order to get points or something

just played some online Fifa08 for the first time. First complaint....it said someone already used my email address so i had to use a different one. That makes no sense since its me that used it?

but the be a pro online shit is awesome! My best match was 1-3 with 2 minutes left in the game and I scored 2 goals in a row to tie it up. one being off a bicycle kick to get past the last defender i wish i could save and share replays cause it was awesome!
