So what happened was I bought a Vostro 1500 from Dell loaded with Vista. I didn't like it too much so reverted back to xp. Well lo and behold, there are no drivers for the mini wireless card for xp even though you can purchase the system with xp and the exact same wireless card. In short, called Dell, explained what happened and they're now sending me a new wireless card, free of charge.

Not Dell Home I'm guessing then. Dell University and Small Business tends to have great service, but god damnit I never want to call Dell Home for myself or anyone else ever again.

I always go through small business. Never had any experience dealing with home though.
