I've been 2-3x in the past 10 years very spaced out, but last time was the first time I did half decently. I can ski alright, but I would rather board (plus the local slope is snowboard-centered).

I plan to start this winter and was thinking about buying a starter board or package now since there are still some summer deals. Figure you break even if you got a decent amount of times. Anyone have any tips for a beginner? Maybe some exercises or pointers.
