ROUTING MENZ, HELP!

OK, So I followed many recommendations of upgrading my shitty Linksys WRT54G (V5) to a new Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 flashed with Tomato 1.07. Runs like a charm so far...except for two seperate issues, both big and still reamining from when I had a linksys.

I know some of you foolios are brilliant, or close to briliance. So any help is quite grateful. THANKS (in advance for someone that needs dire gaming help).

Here's my settings:
-------------------------
Tomato 1.07
Manually identified my DNS server
DHCP Enabled
Wireless G - WPA mode.
uPNP setup on static address for Xbox 360
uPNP setup on LAN (main computer) for Port 32459 as specified by uTorrent.
QoS Enabled

The things connecting to my network is my my main rig on LAN another two laptops via wireless. assigned by DHCP, a Wii and PS3 connecting wirelessly via DHCP, and lastly my 360 on a static address 192.168.1.103 (with uPNP setup through there).
---------------------------

[Issue 1] uTorrent works but speeds are bad. I'm capped at like 8-10 kbs, just like when I had the linksys. There's supposed to be a port you forward to speed it up, 32459, and I've tried forwarding it normally and via uPNP with no luck. This occurs regardless if i have Peerguardian on or not. What gives?

[Issue 2] With some players, I cannot be in the same lobby in Xbox Live without one of us being booted. I've heard some people say this is a NAT or DMZ issue...but for some reason, it always brings some 'host connection' error. A thread was posted about this before, and I think some xbox live peeps were talking about how it was resolved using Tomato...but it doesn't appear to be. I've got the upnp on, shouldnt that handle it?

utorrent has a built-in limiting function that if your upload is less than 6kb/s, it automatically slows your download to something equally slow...if you didn't specify an upload speed then i'm probably way off base...if you did and it's less than 6kb/s, up it to 6kb/s

fuck upnp, manually forward the ports. Use the port tester uTorrent has to check both the utorrent port and the xbox ports.

as ^ said make sure your upload and download caps as well as peer number limits are set properly. Its best to let uTorrent specify them automatically based on your connection speed. Due to the nature of bit torrent, having unlimited peers or specifying unlimited upload/download can result in slower speeds.

Dont use peerguardian, its pointless shitware.

If this doesn't work, connect either the xbox or your pc directly to the modem and then reboot the modem. If its still happening either your Modem is shot or your ISP is filtering your traffic.

does tomato have a repeater function like dd-wrt 24beta?

I set it up and it works, sorta. Seems like every ten minutes or so it just stop working. I can switch from the virtual access point of my repeater to the real access point that my reapeater is repeating and still get a signal just fine, so I know its something in the firmware. I suppose that's why it is a beta version.

Issue 1 could be ISP throttling.

for issue 1 try to turn on encryption and see if that helps with it (if utorrent has that option??), if so then it is the isp.......but first try the ports and manually forward

I use DDWRT on my buffalo, I have pretty much the same setup. I use Azureus and port forward with no issue.

Solution: Use DDWRT....more support, and great wiki, so you don't have to post on tww
