I have a long spreadsheet (like 500 lines) that I need to update frequently with cost changes, contract changes, etc. Is there any way for me to put a table of contents up at the top, so that when I click on a company's name in the table of contents it jumps me automatically to the row where their contract data is?

Say XYZ Co was on line 350. Could I link cell A5 to jump down to cell A350 when I click on A5?

Right-click on the cell you want to place a hyperlink ... choose Hyperlink from the menu. Choose "Place in This Document" ... the rest is self-explanatory.

the manual way is to create "defined names" then make links to those names.

down on line 350, go to a cell and go to Insert > Name > Define, give the cell a name, then hit Add then OK.
Then up in the TOC, go to a cell and go to Insert > Hyperlink (or right click, or Ctrl-K) and select "place in this document" > Defined Names > xxx

i equate it to the guys who like getting their balls stepped on by women in heels

it gets the job done for them, but it's painful as fuck for the rest of us to witness
