Gameday crew doesn't think Clemson will play well. a quote from last weekends gameday...
"We know Clemson can play in the big games, at night, in front of a full crowd, but can they show up in two weeks for a noon kickoff on JP when no one cares"
HAHA they don't think too highly of us this year.... 9/10/2007 2:47:39 PM |

it will almost certainly be later than noon. louisville is parents weekend. parents weekend means buffet lunch/dinner and plenty of time prior to kickoff to spend money on overpriced apparel in the bookstore. can't do all that and be in your seat by noon.
my parents, on the other hand, will be getting shitfaced with me and my friends.9/10/2007 5:15:28 PM |

No HD football this year, maybe 3-4 ACC regular season basketball games plus the tournament in HD. And yeah, every year Raycom redesigns their graphics, and they get worse every year. The new ones look like they were designed by Rick Doc Walker's kids. 9/10/2007 10:01:07 PM |

GAY.
i don't fucking get it, they can do 8pm basketball games on Saturday's but have to do Noon games for football?
and the thing is, for the acc tournament, the graphics were actually simple and good, why can't they keep those?

let me clarify, i don't really mind noon games that much, i just like night games better
i just can't STAND noon games because raycom has to make them all noon games
and the main reason is that NC State + Noon games are never good 9/10/2007 11:29:38 PM |

How long does a typical basketball game last compared to the typical football game?9/11/2007 7:24:53 AM |

2 hours vs. 3 or 3.5 depending on what channel its on 9/11/2007 9:43:38 AM |

Its because of TV contracts, they cant do mid-afternoon games because ABC has an ACC game then, and local broadcasters cannot compete with another ACC game during that time (doesnt apply to ESPN or an OOC game where the ACC team is the visitor). As far as night games, since they only do one game/week, they probably are able to get more stations to carry the game at noon since they dont have to preempt/reschedule network programming...for example, if they did Maryland vs Boston College at night, WRAL would most likely stick with network and put that game on a subchannel at best, since the local interest would not be nearly as high as a game involving a North Carolina team. 9/11/2007 11:02:57 AM |

As an out of towner, I am just glad that our crappy team is getting some quality tv time so far. Lucky for me, I scored some tickets for the Wofford game. 9/11/2007 11:46:04 AM |
