Why has this thread not been started yet? There's an official thread for 800 other things and not this. Point is - how's everyone feeling about this game?

I'm a little more concerned than I thought I would be about the Texans, primarily because of their stellar performance last week. Have they finally got a team that could actually do something in the NFL? And will the Panthers be able to continue their dominant play they showed last week?

While I'd like to think that the panthers are finally past playing down to their opponents level, I also feel like the chiefs are not a very good team this season. The texans are definitely better than last season, but i'm not sure i'd call them a "stellar" team yet

the chiefs suck

hopefully we wont take the texans lightly like we tend to do against lesser opponents

and hopefully if we get an early lead we wont go back into dan henning mode and run the clock out in the 3rd quarter

I also hope that the damn conservative play is a thing of the past - on defense, too. When they have a lead they stop going after the O and play Prevent, and bag things frequently happen (as wlb420 has pointed out several times).

But the way they played in the fourth quarter last week, on both sides of the ball, has inspired some hope in me that they can keep opponents down once they put them there.

Go Panthers!

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about going to the game on Sunday myself - the atmosphere at Bank of America stadium is great
