i want to see a Kevin Costner epic set in the Second Anglo-Burmese War.

He could play a postman that delivers the mail from his custom Trimaran.

I wish this had come out like 10 years ago. Before i played 6 different video games about WW2, watched 25 different movies, and read like 10 books about it.

Being about the same thing doesn't make something the same. It's like saying it's not worth seeing the Shawshank Redemption after seeing Ernest Goes to Jail...I mean they're both about prison, how many times can you see a movie about that?

this was pretty good, but i wish they would do this once a week and not every night. i can deal with carving out a couple hours of my sunday night, not two hours out of every night for a week.

yeah, i'm a huge ken burns fan, just a little burnt out after watching so many WWII tv documentaries on the History Channel. Regardless i will still watch this. Except that i don't have a TV in my room.

did anyone have audio sync issues with this on UNC-HD via TWC? it was very distracting last night watching this.

I feel the same way, plus I wanted to watch the game last night.... DVR ftw.

I watched the very beginning on UNC-HD and audio was hosed for me too. I was hoping it wasn't going to be messed up on the recording, but if everyone had the same problem my guess is that it will be. I'll give the audio another chance tonight before recording the SD.

missed the first episode, watching the second one now. its pretty good, stories are on a much more personal level.

favorite quote so far is from a B-17 bubble turret gunner in reference to the bomber's aiming:
"they said the bombing system was accurate enough to hit a pickle barrel, well, we couldn't hit france."
