We no longer have the right to make fun of military personnel in tv advertisements.

Crap
Now I have to scrap that commercial that I was making about General Petraeus. I bought rights to use the Benny Hill music and everything. 9/28/2007 7:59:23 AM |

the new definition of freedom is whatever this war for "freedom" is giving people. Which I guess is fear and a less stable although slightly more well intentioned on average, collection of pieces of governments. They threw out the old definition: "civil liberty, as opposed to subjection to an arbitrary or despotic government, the state of being free or at liberty rather than in confinement or under physical restraint." 9/28/2007 8:12:03 AM |

Remember, kids; the more civil liberties you give up, the safer you are from the terrorists! And the safer you are from terrorists, the more freedom you have! Yeah! Only a terrorist refuses to blindly listen to the government and prattles on about "civil rights." And if you're a terrorist, you hate freedom, and by extension you hate America and Jesus.

well, it's not like military personnel have ever had the right to express themselves (politically at least) in public. 9/28/2007 9:06:25 AM |
