This is frequently what happens when you have a very good quarterback.

That said, they're a ACC team, so...

There is a slight difference in trolling, and the truth. Stop ignoring it. Its a valid question. So STFU and deal with it. TOB leaves BC under strong criticism for leaving a better team, and arguable better program to take over at NCSU. NCSU is at the VERY bottom of the ACC with TOB while BC is at the VERY TOP of the ACC under the new and unkown coach. Its a question, if you don't like it, don't respond.

according to my ACC pocket schedule they have

Bowling Green win
Notre Damewin
Open
then AT Vtech for a thursday night game loss
FSU
Maryland
Clemson
Miami

so 3 more weeks at undefeated then a loss cuz no one takes Vtech at home at night on TV thursday.

and BC may be the better team SHORT TERM
but he has more money here, better facilities, a better fan base and milder climate.

I think we know what the better choice was.

they'll lose to either Maryland, FSU, or Clemson - maybe 2 or all 3 of those

this is a possibly a good sign that when TOB has a chance to get his players in here we might be alright after all

Lets just go out out on a limb here, and say they make it to a BCS game. Thoughts on that?

^Yes, possibly we could. I look foward to that day.

They would have to beat either

Vtech, FSU, Clemson or Gtech

so its possible depends on too much though.

OK I will give you an opinion.

BCU is extremely overrated. Look at their schedule. Between them and Clemson, they make the ACC look terrible with their OOC schedules. Army, UMass, Bowling Green, and Notre Dame. If they make the BCS, then our great beloved ACC really is that weak.

Plus they could lose their last 5 games realistically: @ VTech, FSU, @ Maryland, @ Clemson, and Miami.

[Edited on October 2, 2007 at 12:39 AM. Reason : ^^Please don't refer to NCSU as we again. You went to Georgia State Community College]

News Flash!!!

Fucking Wake Forrest made it last year! Correct me if I am wrong, but I would much rather say that BC was reppin the ACC in the BCS over WF.

And just to let you in on a little hint....the ACC really is that weak this year. Are you honestly just now realizing this?

^^^^^ they'll play either the pac-10 or sec runners-up and be exposed for the no speed and average talent having team that they are. Right now they're playing teams with good talent, but players who don't buy into the system (Ga-Tech, FSU, etc.) or teams with sub-par talent for a major conference but get by because their coach runs a tight ship (Wake Forest). Once they play both it'll be bye-bye BC, time to do it on your own Jagodinski (or however the hell you spell his name).

they will not lose to VT unless VT finds some resemblance of an offense before then.

I really doubt they'll lose their last 5. It's not like any of those teams are power programs this year.

It's the end effect of being the only team in a supposedly big conference that actually has a good quarterback in Ryan.

They'll win the ACC comfortably and then lose the Orange Bowl to the Big East champ by 10-15 points.

Case in point,

Boston College - 24
Massachusetts (a Division I-AA team) - 14

thoughts...???

I mean good for them... TOB built a strong program there and still had more faith in our potential here. I like the guy... With his attitude I'd like to give him 5 years to get us going.

since they've already beaten us then I hope they run the table in the ACC, make it to the # 3 or 4 slot in the country and create a legitimate argument for national title consideration...

that's assuming LSU doesn't stumble and USC doesn't stumble...

my ideal, at this point, would be a BC-Cal title game

BC would get hammered in that game, but it's been too long since an ACC team was playing for the championship

No coach gets 5 years to get a program going anymore. Even at a horrible football school like Duke. Plus a good coach should be able to turn around a program in 2-3 years depending on what type of players he inherits. O'Brien inherited shit so it'll take three years, maybe more. He will not get five years to get us going.

I expect us to finish a horrible year this season with just 1 win, improve next year to maybe 5-6 wins, and then be at 8 wins by year three. Hopefully we can then maintain and potentially improve on that 8 win standard in the years that follow.

lol

BCU couldn't even make a BCS game in the Big East the year Pitt made it. What makes you think they won't choke on a dick this year?

For fucks sake, in that year to make the BCS bowl, they had to beat a shitty ass Syracuse team with a 4th string RB in, who happened to be a starting DB. That RB scored 4 TDs, including one defensive, and rushed for 175 yards...

BCU will find a way... to throw up on itself.

[Edited on October 2, 2007 at 1:22 PM. Reason : anyone who thinks TOB had anything to do with BCU chokejobs is an idiot.. they do it in bball too]

i know it's intended to be derogatory, but why do you refer to them as BCU? i'm sure i used to know the reason, but i've long since forgotten (lack of anti-bc vitriol when cathocutie's not around)

They hate it... but also at the ACC introduction, Swofford introduced them as Boston College University... and on the webpage for their CT Bowl game against UNC they were listed as BCU for some reason...

Basically showing they get the appropriate amount of respect around the country as they do in their actual home region.. that is NONE.

They could, and nobody would even notice or care after the choke job the Mets did.
