Is anybody else excited about this new series? I'm excited about this since its created by Bryan Fuller, who wrote some for Star Trek, but created Dead Like Me, one of the funniest fucking shows in a while. So anyhow discuss!

Naw its sorta fantasy forensics as I understand it. Basically the main character can bring back people from the dead with one touch, but if he touches them again they go back to being dead. So he does this to solve crimes; wake up murder victims, ask them what happened, and then touch them again and make them dead once again. Then he finds his high school sweetheart dead and brings her back, but can never touch her again.

BTW all the critics that have gotten to preview this have said its the best new show of the year, and could be the next Lost? Not sure about all that, but I am hoping its gonna be good.

Charlie, I think they meant as a possible breakout hit from the rest of the pack. First really fucking original new series this year, much like Lost was at the time.

I missed the first 10 minutes, so I feel like I missed a good bit of exposition. I loved it. Great visuals, great narration, very surreal.

My thoughts went first to Big Fish and then to Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events.

When I saw the previews for this movie I thought of Big Fish too but that's why I'm not watching this. I didn't care for BF at all.

Definitely a "Dead Like Me" vibe while watching this, makes sense now. Pilot was decent, though it doesn't seem like there's much to do with homicide/forensics as just two guys tryin' to get rich via ransoms.

I loved how the scene with the mermaid girls smacked a lot of Amelie; same song as in the subway station, same green/blue color use, same recluse characters. Plus the chick is so similar to Amelie in her cute intelligent sexy shy way.

I liked it, sorta even had a bit of a Dr. Seuss feel to it. But I definitely see a Big Fish in it.

It was ok. Cool visuals, a bit too hokey for me. Where's the plot gonna go? At this point, I don't really care what's going to happen to those characters.

I saw the first episode tonight - they replayed it on ABC. I'm a big fan of the colors, scenery, and narration. I think it's a good show. I hope it sticks around for a while!

last night was the 2nd episode i've seen (was it the 2nd ever?) and i'm starting to really love this show. i love the surreal-ness of it and the fact that the narrator is the guy in the walgreen's commercials (the ones about the town called perfect or whatever). i also love the dialog, it's quick and odd and i <3 it. there are some GREAT lines in this show but you've got be listening fast for them.

i love this show. Its a great break from the ordinary tv shows, even a great break from the likes of heroes.

anna friel is so freakin cute as Chuck.

BTW all these fucking shows are playing online too, just go to the networks website to catch up. I watch 3-4 shows a week on the website because its scheduled when another show I like more comes on. Thats the easiest way to catch up on Pushing Daisies.

I like this show too. To me the Narrator sounds like the narrator in charlie and the chocolate factory *the one w/ johnny depp*. Doesn't he?

I don't even remember to watch this show when it comes on...i keep having to catch it online

It's a different guy. The narrator for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was Geoffrey Holder.

Jim Dale, of Harry Potter audiobooks fame, does the narration for Pushing Daisies.

yeah, I thought it was just okay. I'll watch again, but the whole "I touch you and you come back to life, then I touch you again and you're dead forever" thing was kinda weak imo. I don't know, with all the shows that I already have to make time for, I don't see this one making the cut
