NBC can either put it on Friday nights or not give the show a second season at all. If the show gets better ratings this season I'm sure the execs will switch time slots with another show.

Just watched it online. Fucking good start to the season. This is one of my tops shows of last year, and its in a better timeslot in comparison, as the expectations aren't as high on Friday. Wed. is a pretty big night, and if it underperforms, then it would get the ax. Here on Fridays, it can get mediocre ratings and still make it, because everybody gets medicore ratings. I'm sure a lot of folks will be watching this on DVR and online, so that count will also need to factor into this, as like you said, it does compete against actual Friday night football games.

I love having the back shows to watch online. I'm catching up with 30 Rock now so I can watch it live too. Already gotten the first 11 shows down of Season 1.

And yes, season 1 was pretty fucking great.

Damn. What a crazy ending to the episode. I bet this dead body storyline is gonna be dividing viewers who think it's too soap-operish. I'll trust the writers who I think have been pretty grounded in reality with most of the arcs.

I liked it. Good start to the season, plenty of story arcs opened up. A++ for bikinis.

The only downside is Lila becoming a Godfreak. She is easily the hottest girl on tv, and now she's chaste. Great.

too much Mexico. Looks like it will be more of the same next week. They've hardly shown any football so far. And I guess we should expect to be seeing the fired coach again sometime during state playoffs or something like they did with the New Orleans quarterback.

This past episode covered so much shit in just an hour. Taylor coming back to Dillion felt WAAAAYYY too rushed. And this Mexico storyline is boring and unrealistic and completely the opposite of the way the show has been able to successfully ground the show in reality.

Well I'd assume they'd report it stolen. And suspicious or not, it gets rid of the evidence. They can suspect you all they want but without hard evidence, what are they gonna do?

I just caught up with the season to date. The only problem I had with the murder plotline was the fact that the town wasn't talking about it at all. We didn't get to see the small town gossip, high school name calling ("Killer" would be a great football nickname), etc. And I was shocked to the see the John from "John From Cincinnati" although I kept getting a vibe that he was just gonna start repeating whatever the other characters started saying.
