due to alcohol related accidents, everyone feels sorry for that person. yes, it is sad when young people die but why make facebook groups in their memory. why not make one to say "stop under age drinking" or somethng like that.

makes me so mad. especially the ones where the kid dies driving drunk. i say at least he didnt kill a famliy.

generally, the people that put "we love you and you will always be missed" in their away messages and other places are people that dont even know them that well. i think they are basically saying "hey look at me i know someone that died, feel sorry for me this week"

i guess since the gov't sit an arbitrary age for the "responsible" drinking age we should ridicule those that die drinking underage since they were breaking the law and grieve those over 21 that died from alcohol since nanny government gave them the wink to get plastered.

You're right.

We should put their pictures on the front page of their local newspaper and slap a red "STUPID DRUNK" stamp across their forehead.

One stupid mistake doesn't automatically veto a lifetime of good deeds. If nobody else was hurt or killed then my point is all the more relevant.

Have you ever made a mistake?

Did you die because of that mistake?
If the answer is no, then stfu. Furthermore, go fuck yourself.

If you were friends with someone, and that person died for any reason, you would probably (hopefully) grieve. And guess what fucktard, some people react to situations differently. Maybe you shouldn't judge other people on how they choose to mourn the loss of a friend. Maybe you should have something better to talk about.

I love ugly chicks who wear nerd glasses to appear smart and interesting.

When really they're too stupid to grasp basic concepts like natural selection.

I'm posting like there a number of girls out there like this, but you're really the only one.

Anybody who tries to bust out the Darwin award on a drunk kid is ugly. On the inside, at least.

Yo I bet overaged drinking kills way more people than underaged drinking.

Genuine grief is fine

But there are people who use their "grief" to be attention-whores

That is not cool, and I think that was ctzn's point in this thread

Personally I am old enough, and have been through enough shit, not to care when some stranger dies...nor to care if their friends want to grieve on the internet

A girl from my HS recently killed herself and I swear there is at least 15 groups now with members upwards of 100. SHE KILLED HERSELF, she didn't die. You aren't going to see her in heaven, she killed herself.

a teacher at my high school killed himself while he was on trial for having students come to his house and do yard/housework, and paying them extra for things like doing it in a wrestling singlet, or in just gym shorts.

and there's a facebook group in his memory.

if someone happens to make it to their destination safely while drivign drunk... what are they going to say the next time? "man that was stupid of me to drive drunk last time, i should call a friend" or "i made it home safely last time... i am superman. being drunk doesnt effect my driving ability"

that was the point

it is usually the groups that dont mention how someone died where the person brought it on themselves.

i have seen some where someone lost a battle with cancer or something. if that person touched/inspired others then great, i feel that a FB group is ok in that situation.
