that thing is UGLY!

^^^ if it's making >300 rwhp, that's all you want, and maybe more. by that point, the stock transmission becomes a wear item, and you've long since gone to the rear diff from a 1.8 car if it was a 1.6 (this one isn't, just saying). You'd either be looking at a ~$2500 Quaife gearset or an RX-7 transmission if you made ANY more power (and it wouldn't be a bad move at that power level...although you might just prefer to keep throwing Miata transmissions into the grinder. They're cheap.)

it also kinda overpowers the chassis and becomes a bull in a china shop, and also would spin the tires mercilessly. you could, i'm sure, put enough rubber on it to mitigate it somewhat, but i bet you'd break even more stuff.

(for example, the dude who bought my old turbo miata ripped the rear axle out from the chassis, flailing it around and knocking a hole through the fuel tank, and dragging half the drivetrain down the road. Probably because I broke the bolts that attach the driveshaft and replaced them with grade-8 fasteners...haha)

I'd like to have a NB (2nd gen, like a 1999-2000 or so) with about 275-300 rwhp and a thoroughly braced chassis and well tuned suspension...but I'd want it to look relatively stock...at least no bodykits or anything.

[Edited on October 12, 2007 at 12:57 PM. Reason : and you could get one like that for <1/3 of what that ugly car is listed for]

Cool car except for those rims and paint. I might could live with the paint if it had different rims.
