Is it possible to register a device so that it no longer requies a manual sign in when using the University wireless APs?

How do I register my wireless device?

Registering a wireless device allows you to log on to the wireless network without entering your Unity ID and password each time. To register :

1. Go to https://nomad.ncsu.edu
2. Select Device Registration.
3. From the menu on the left, select Add Device.
4. Follow the subsequent instructions.

It is worth mention that you have to do this *on* the device you're trying to register. It queries the device for its MAC and therefore that field is not able to be filled out manually (presumably to prevent typos etc.)

^more to prevent you from just doing it for one of your friends i believe

also the nomad registrations get cleared out like every year, so you'll have to redo it eventually
