I'm looking ahead to this summer and trying to see what my options are, and I'm curious if anyone has done a single summer session of undergrad research. I'm hoping to stay at state during some of the summer because of apartment details, but there's some other stuff I don't want to miss out on like a 6 week study abroad course that would be great to do.
So I'm thinking research then study abroad would be pretty fun, but I can already hear the scheduling complaints of professors losing an intern in the middle of the summer...

The period you sign up for to research is entirely between you and the professor who's paying you. Just be up front about expectations and scheduling. My lab group takes on several undergrads over the summers and we are normally able to accommodate most requests about scheduling and length of contract. 10/16/2007 12:24:51 PM |
