I went to see ventriloquist Jeff Dunham at the Progress Energy Center on Thursday night. It was very funny.

If you ever get a chance to see Dunham, you should. He's on Comedy Central a lot, too.

He has 2 dvds.

Arguing With Myself and Spark of Insanity...

I really like the first one, the second one is ok, up until the bits with Peanut and Senor Jalapeno on a Steek, which is where it gets hilarious...

This is one of my all time favorite comedians! I've been into his stuff for at least 15 years. I remember the first time I saw his JalapeƱo on a Stiiiiick routine.. I laughed so hard.

I was annoyed that Sweet Daddy D wasn't in spark of insanity. He was definitely funnier than Achmed, if only because Jeff didn't do nearly as well writing Achmed's jokes as I'd expect from him.

I watched the Spark of Insanity special last night that I DVR'd that was pretty dang funny. I was impressed, even his stand up at the beginning was pretty good without puppets.

i saw him @ charlie goodnites a/b 6 months ago. great show for $20 but i couldn't justify the $45+ for his set @ the progress energy center.

^^ his non-puppet standup has gotten a lot better over the years... i think Spark of Insanity's solo routine was the best one he's done yet...

used to go watch him at charlie goodnight's all the time. the best segment is "ask walter" where the audience can write down any question for walter to answer. his quick wit is hilarious.

^yeah that was one of the highlights of the show. The owner of charlie's was telling me he'd never play that venue again, said he was just too expensive.
