hmm...WRAL must be sleeping on the job. Here's what was in the technician today:

"Cyclist injured in collision Avent Ferry incident wrecks bike, harms rider Chris Allred Issue date: 10/23/07 Section: News A wreck Monday involving a bicyclist and a vehicle near the intersection of Avent Ferry Road and Western Boulevard resulted in one hospitilization, according to Campus Police Capt. Jon Barnwell. The incident occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m., he said. "The bicyclist coming out of Mission Valley shopping center was trying to shoot across traffic," he said. The vehicle was coming up Avent Ferry Road in the direction of Morrill Drive and was preparing to turn onto Western Blvd., when it collided with the bicyclist, he said. "[The] bicyclist was conscious while being transported to WakeMed," Barnwell said. According to Barnwell, campus police arrived on the scene first and were able to assess the situation, then assisted the Raleigh Police Department upon their arrival. The Raleigh Police Department could not be reached for a follow-up. "

Ha ha it will teach you turds to obey traffic laws.. Sound like he just darted out in front of a car... I am a daily runner, and even though I obey traffic laws for pedestrians I still cover my ass by making sure i can cross the road... After getting hit by cars running and riding my motorcycle, I have declared raleigh drivers the dumbest drivers ever!
