No but seriously, I thought the forest fires were a natural occurrence and trying to control them has just made the area ridiculously prone to fires. That and putting houses in them and doing all that shit just fucked up the natural flow of the forest as well. Am I wrong on this or what?

I read that one firefighter's wife was complaining they her husband got laid off right before the firestorm because they were told the fire season was over...of course he got rehired, she was complaining about health benefits that they stop getting when he is laid off(she is recovering for cancer) and how it is hard to get health insurance that will cover that....no shit, you husband has a seasonal job, he will get laid off again...they have a certain amount of perm firefighters but they cant afford to have 7k perms. He had also been a firefighter for like 15 years(all the time seasonal). I am sure he will make enough OT now so they will have plenty during the off season.
