That would only appease alumni and older fans.

The entire roster and 99 percent of the student body wasn't even alive when that happened.

If a team won a title before you were born, it doesn't have much bearing on your affiliation with that team.

gunzz was probably already in high school in 1983, but for the rest of us, its not even a memory.

well i wasn't alive but its still a great intro and great motivation to start each game and its like the ghost of jimmy v up in heaven is on the screen talking about us winning the 3rd championship this year and rbc center being so great.

"Dare to Dream" is our motto this year. (Did we have one last year?)


I say use that. Jimmy V and NC State go together... EVERYONE knows that. Definitely inspirational and it fits our season motto.

Coach Lowe is bringing that tradition back home and I, for one, love every bit of it

I was 7 years old when we won our second NC. I remember it like it JUST happened yesterday.

if you were too young or were not alive then embrace our past and history and understand that

we can and WILL be great again.

i believe a guy named brian asbill is the main man when it comes to marketing... also, shannon yates is gameday operations.... perhaps she would be the one to contact? i had a class with her last semester and i could e-mail her. ???

Of course in 10 years if we still havent won the third championship, the visiting teams/fans will probably enjoy laughing at it..."haha, that same old video they taped 30 years ago." Of course if we do win one, what do we do then?

i passed it along to my buddy who works for the canes...he's passed along music to canesvision before that they play during hockey games, im just not sure if they have any say over what gets played before bball games.

This NEEDS to be played at every home game. I imagine the intro for the Barton game will not be used during the season. Any chance this gets played? It is only a minute and a half but nobody would care. It sucks you in on youtube, could you imagine this playin in the RBC Center with the lights off and 18,000 Pack fans silent?

I love it too! Really, the goosebumps were there. But it only highlights that argument from every other fan that says we are "living in the past." Granted, I'm ok with it after the first time I hear someone suck on Dean Smith this year.
