Notre Dame to rake in $1.3 million from BCS this year
http://www.fanblogs.com/notre_dame/007242.php

This may be old news...

"Everyone's favorite one-win team will receive a check for approximately $1.3 million dollars this year for not playing in the Bowl Championship Series."

"Notre Dame is guaranteed 1/66th of the net revenues after expenses, or approximately $1.3 million. Notre Dame will receive $4.5 million when its team is a participant."

Those schools get a portion of the conferences take IIRC. I think it is ~ 1M... not quite the full 1.3. This really isn't threadworthy.

^^ UCLA

Duke or State gets 1.167M if 1 ACC team makes the BCS. 2.333M if 2 ACC teams make the BCS>

Well, for now they are. And be thankful that who receives BCS is not based on performance. Just like Notre Dame, the ACC is on the BCS contract, despite their BCS record showing they are no better than the Mountain West Conference or the WAC.
