i've never seen either of these bands live but i'm thinking about going to the show. anyone seen them live?

valient thorr is horrendous - we saw them once when they opened for the Avetts at Cat's

but if you want to listen to middle-aged men in electric blue spandex scream at you about their anarchist political views, go for it

Valient Thorr is the best live band in North Carolina, and probably the southeastern US, since the Cherry Valence.

Some magazine (not sure if it was Spin or Harp) just put out a list of 30 bands to see live before you die--Valient Thorr is #25.

If you like the Stooges or the MC5, you'll love Valient Thorr.

If you like totally badass harmonized garage metal, you'll love Valient Thorr.

the sword is sooo much fun live.

I saw them at kings and where the wolves howl during that one song, the crowd filled in the gap.

OWWWwwwohhhhhhh.

would still like to see valient, continually miss them.

well maybe they just suck if you stand in the front.


there was like waaaaayyy too much bass when i saw them. Couldn't hear anything other than bass. No vocals barely any guitar.

i love watching valient thorr live. i absolutely love watching a band that put everything they've got into the show. it doesn't even have to sound amazing. but that's just what gets me off. i would go if i was still in NC.
