lol..I just watched that...

I think Larry King was just asking that so the listeners would know, but it was a stupid question...although Jerry's ego is through the roof...

^no it wont, larry david has a show now equal to or better than seinfeld

^ first of all, it's about time people stop using that quote.

second of all, imo, cye is funnier than seinfeld. and personally, larry david is funnier (not to mention a better actor... although they're both pretty bad still) than jerry seinfeld is.

imo.

"When he was in his thirties, Seinfeld was engaged to seventeen-year-old high school student Shoshanna Lonstein Gruss[5]. After meeting her at the Reebok Sports Club, he began dating Jessica Sklar, a public relations executive for Tommy Hilfiger who had just returned from a three-week honeymoon in Italy with Eric Nederlander, a theatrical producer and scion of a theater-owning family. Sklar divorced Nederlander and married Seinfeld on December 25, 1999."

sounds like an absolute fucking ass.

LOL, Larry David left after season 7 and the last two seasons were done without him. That statement is complete BS even ignoring that.

^That was pretty fucked up, I agree.

Not really. Season 8 was pretty shitty, but Season 9 was on par, if not better than Season 7.

I love the show and despised Kramer until a few years after it went off the air. I only warmed up to him after watching reruns for awhile.

Larry David was defined as a writer by the work he did on "seinfeld".... Do you really think he would've landed CYE/HBO without 7 seasons of the nation loving Jerry...?

^^to put it simply, jerry gets way too much credit for that show, it was 90% larry, 8% jerry, 2% cast

Seinfeld wasn't about he said, she said- each character (although not fantastic outside of the bubble) complimented one another so as to allow their own personal attributes to shine!

It was the personification of the universe and at the sun my friend-----there was Jerry, keeping everyone together, warm, happy, and alive- When the sun turned it's back and gleamed in another direction.......................

BOOM

For one thing, Julia Louis-Dreyfus has a successful show now. I can't remember the title (Old Christine or something like that), but it's doing well and got her an Emmy.

Secondly, sitcoms fail or succeed for a variety of reasons. Hell, I've read countless articles about Seinfeld and watched all the DVD special features and it's a miracle the show made it to the third season. So the fact that the others (which means basically Kramer and George's careers) haven't done well is irrelevant. Successful sitcom actors have trouble striking gold twice. Even the best writers on the show worked on some real pieces of crap afterwards.

The show was a collaborative effort. Larry David was undoubtedly the head of the show (the first seven seasons), but don't pretend even for a second it was all him. Jerry still had the charm and wit that people love to this day. And as a creator and writer he had a big part in how the show turned out.

Your oversimplification of the show's success is retarded.

it's not like jerry seinfeld has done anything since the show either. unless you count "bee movie".

Well he's been doing standup, which is what he planned at the end of the show's run. I've been out to see him twice and both times it was hilarious. He also sells out.

Incidentally, Bee Movie has 52% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, compared to a 25% for Sour Grapes (written and directed by Larry David). Of course, kid's movies aren't judged as harshly as movies for adults, just making a note.

that'd be fine if larry david hadn't done six seasons of a very successful show. but he has.

ok ShinAntonio lets put it this way, imagine the show without one of the main people in it

without larry, or seinfeld, or etc

if you take any one of the cast out it is still 90-100% of what it was
take larry out and its not even on tv

thats why larry is important, ofcourse the cast was great, but as great as they were, they suck without larry
