i havent liked a mario game since super mario bros 3, so i'm not excited. however, i have heard good things, so maybe if i see it somewhere cheap in a year or two, i'll pick it up.

I'm pretty excited about it. I had a chance to play it at Game Stop, and the controls took a little getting used to, but it looks great.

too fruity

generally not a fan of platformers. mario bros 1 and 3 were exceptions, but i grew out of it. i cant even go back and play them now without gettin bored.

and the fact that playing them makes me feel like a gay 7 year old doesnt help

Hmm, $25 off would be just as good as waiting for the bargain bin. Are they doing preorders or first come first serve? I'd be afraid of even trying to get this game from Toys R Us for fear of lack of supply due to this great deal.

^^I replay SM64 every few years or so, it's still crazy fun. Every now and then the music from the Bowser levels will get stuck in my head too.

I realize this game isn't out yet, but anyone who pirates this and doesn't buy it deserves to be burned on a stake. This is coming from someone who regularly pirates games. There are just some IPs you don't fuck around with.

Well, the thing is - Nintendo has enough money as is, in fact they print money. So it doesnt bother me a bit.

I don't agree with Mario having the greatest replay value. At least the 3-D ones. The 2-D ones I could play until I die, but after I got all 120 stars in SM64, I didn't play again for years. What the fuck is the point of getting 100 lives at the end if theres no use for them? I already have everything, what am I gonna do now, lava surfing? And once I got all the blue coins in Sunshine, I DAMN sure knew I wasn't gonna do that bullshit ever again.

I played it for a few minutes this past Friday. It was the first time I had ever played any game on the Wii. It looked ok. I didn't really see why the Wiimote was necessary to play the game, but I didn't get that deep into the gameplay.

They didn't sell to me despite the assurances of the salesperson on the phone. I gave her my phone number and my name and told her what time I'd be there. I should've gotten her name.

Seems like another case of talking to a phone rep who has no idea what she's talking about as opposed to someone with a bit of knowledge. So now I'm at home with el zilcho.

The other frustrating thing is I talked to a phone rep in Cary who also swore they were available in Raleigh, but I called specifically to double-check.
