Anyone taken Zhu? My friends say I should stay away from Eischen, but I've never heard of Zhu. They're both teaching Solids II.

its MAE 316, and i'm taking Eischen, cause i want to actually be able to understand what my teacher is saying.

Eischen does a good job. lectures can get a bit boring tho

Eischen is going to be fucking boring because all his notes are already printed out and he just reads them

he provides them so you dont even have to write anything, but if you do want to write to stay away, he goes too quickly to do that, most of the notes are from 1990 and 1991 too

you may want to kill yourself if you take his class

I have Zhu now for solids 1. He's doing a decent job, but I believe this is his first semester lecturing and he still has to figure out some things. His english is accented though perfectly understandable, but he doesn't talk very loud and can't seem to get the microphone working right.

I think it's a toss up, take the one that fits your schedule better.

i am a fan of eischen, the printed out notes suit my style and he is a pretty nice guy in my opinion
