I feel like I've played all of the main ones (Chrono Trigger, both FF's, EarthBound, SOM, SMRPG) but i know there has to be others. What other SNES RPGS are worthy of play? 11/12/2007 1:35:17 PM |

Terranigma was Japanese-only, but has been fan-translated. The same is probably true for Tales of Phantasia.
Breath of Fire 1 and 2 are some more choices. Illusion of Gaia and Soul Blazer might be good.
Final Fantasy 5 has a fan-translated rom out there I'm sure, but I'd play the GBA version. The graphics and sound got a bump up in quality. 11/12/2007 2:16:29 PM |

Loved that game. That made up movie references and the ability to control you or the dog was great.
Add Secret of Mana to that list. It had sequels that didn't make it to America that were also great ("Seiken Densetsu" jumps out at me, but that may be something else).11/12/2007 5:14:32 PM |

if you though mario rpg was childish, earthbound may not be for you.
lufia 1 and 2 are awesome, especially for the puzzles. Illusion of Gaia was a sweet action/rpg. Terranigma is actually the sequel if I remember correctly. Robotrek was quirky but I liked it. Breath of Fire games were pretty cool for the time too. 11/13/2007 12:07:46 AM |

i just thought it was too simplistic...like you get a mushroom and thats 20 hp or something....the enemies were not challenging or fun... 11/13/2007 12:11:42 AM |

a mushroom giving 20hp is simplistic but a potion giving you 50 is not? 11/13/2007 12:26:42 AM |
