although i think we need to enjoy seeing hickson finish the game with 1 foul while it lasted (not to mention the fact that it was a bullshit call to even give him that one).

i think the refs are going to start whistling him a lot more, especially when we play carolina/duke (mostly carolina). he did a good job of staying away from obvious foul calls, but the way refs seem to like calling bullshit touch fouls on us (couple on mccauley tonight), i wouldn't be surprised to see him end up in foul trouble in several games. but at least we have guys to rotate in if that does happen.

^ yeh man, the refs are all in together to screw us over...everyone gets called for bullshit touch fouls, it's just when they're called on the other team you don't see it as a touch foul but as a hack & you think he earned the foul

this is part of the reason i don't enjoy going to the games anymore (& it's not just you or fellow ncsu students, but happens everywhere for all schools & i just tire of it quickly)

^GT game last year...if you watched you would change your attitude. That game was single handedly won by the refs for GT. They see us dominate... they dont call fuck on GT the rest of the way, they call touch fouls on us, next thing you know we lose a 20 point lead, and they let the bullshit continue until we lose.

Sure, it happens anywhere, but you have to admit that we have been fucked in some big games in our history. Vandy in 04, UNC in every game played in the nose dome, was it 89 that they called the phantom travel on corch in the tournament?, BC at home in 06...the list goes on


You're just as big of a bitch for not going to the games as the people that go and complain about the officiating. How about you go, then tell people around you to shut the fuck up, and maybe people will get the idea.

i will admit to an inadvertent bias toward calls on my part, but i'm not ignorant like many of the fans you speak of. i'll point out times where refs will miss calls against us and we get away with stuff. i'm not saying our players are holier than thou and aren't capable of fouling. i just despise seeing phantom fouls called against the star players in key situations.

it's not going to happen every game. but it's going to happen. and the thing about carolina isn't isolated to nc state. just watch any game they play in. there's probably a very good chance that whoever is matched up against hansbrough is in foul trouble. though i will say it's been better recently than it was in his at at first.

i think one of the worst games in terms of officiating that i can remember was Alabama 2 years ago. we managed to barely hang on for the win but the fouls were fucking ridiculous. Alabama attempted 24 free throws and we got to the line for the first time with 20 seconds left in the game when they were trying like crazy to foul us to stop the clock. i think that was probably the most pissed i've been after a win, just because of how close we came to losing it and it seriously would have been b/c of the officiating.

i'm not going to blame it on any conspiracy against us, but the marist game last year was a terrible, terrible display of officiating. worst i can recall.

I thought we got away with a couple of obvious fouls last night, but then they would call the slightest touching as a reach in. It especially pissed me off when that shneider guy would be running full sprint out of control up the court, then lose control and fall on his ass, and they would call degand for it!
