If I have to I will
I don't like her personality, but then again everything seemed to go well back in Bill's days. I'm more interested in policy then personality. We see what happens when we elect loveable idiots. 11/23/2007 10:39:45 PM |

She's not my first choice, but there is absolutely no one on the Republican side that would be a better President in my opinion. I'll vote for her if she's the Democratic candidate probably. 11/23/2007 11:07:28 PM |

Yeah, I think about that too sometimes. But when I think about the possibility of one of the Republican candidates winning and fucking America up even more it's not a hard choice for me. I hope she doesn't win the nomination, but I'm pretty sure I would vote for her if it came down to it.

I also have yet to meet anyone who says they will vote for her. The one chick who has bothered to voice her opinion only expressed disdain.
Also, will she transfer power to the vice president every month???

That's one of the things about her though. A lot of people say that, but if it really came down to it there's a lot of people who would change their mind just to avoid another 4 years with a Republican as president. Hopefully it won't come down to that though. 11/24/2007 1:01:04 AM |

Same here. I'll probably vote for Obama or Edwards in the primaries. But I'd easily vote for her over before I would vote for a Republican. Its gonna take a long while before I trust any of them (except for Ron Paul and Walter Jones).11/24/2007 12:45:11 PM |

If, for arguments sake, Hillary is a rug muncher:
1) It would explain Bill's shortcomings, so to speak.
2) It would explain Hillary's supportive behavior in the aftermath.
Neither have anything to gain from a separation.

i've got to disagree with both counts:
a) just has to do with hillary being old and/or bill being a perpetual horndog
b) just has to do with basic relationship dynamics. anecdotal evidence suggests that women do not leave men who cheat on them. 11/24/2007 1:47:18 PM |
Lewizzle All American 14393 Posts user info edit post |
I agree with your points, but Hillary being a lezzy reinforces both. Which is why I said If, for argument's sake. 11/24/2007 1:55:03 PM |
nastoute All American 31058 Posts user info edit post |
yeah
actually, point b) really only has to do with a once or twice action of infidelity
but bill has an extensive history of this
that point, the fact that hillary puts up with cheating over and over and over again points towards a marriage of convenience
i think 11/24/2007 1:58:42 PM |

Marriage of convenience, of course, they are both politicians to the nth degree.
This begs the quesiton do you think Hillary turned to the other team because of the cheating, or did her orientation cause the cheating?
aha!

if I had to make a choice, it would be the 1/2 the latter, 1/2 bill having a sexual addiction
but if she's a lesbian... then she's probably always been one, or had a serious predilection towards being one

I refuse to settle for the lesser of two evils, so I don't ever vote for a candidate unless I actually support their politics and think they'll do an excellent job in office. So I will not be voting for Hillary, but if she gets the Dem nomination, I would still rather her win the presidency than any of the Republican candidates who are in the running. 11/24/2007 4:48:07 PM |

Out of all the possible republican-democrat pairings that could exist, there are some in which I would vote for the democrat.
However, there is not one scenario that would cause me to vote for Hillary Clinton (or, if we want to live in la-la land, Dennis Kucinich).
I would vote for the Republican over Hillary every time, unless the Republican was Romney, and if it came to that I'd write-in/third party/etc. I realize that this makes me a bad person, but as I've said before, I'll be dead in the cold, cold ground before I will vote for a Mormon president.
I have my reasons, and they are not joke reasons. 11/24/2007 5:13:17 PM |

oh, and
your taking issue with the private religious beliefs of a secular candidate for public office is, well, wrong
although, you do admit that you're a bad person...... 11/24/2007 5:20:47 PM |

 Would you be quite so upset if I was talking about a Heaven's Gate member? A Jim Jones follower? A Scientologist? A Hitler Occultist?
A person's beliefs say a lot about them. And you know, maybe Romney is only a nominal Mormon nowadays, in which case I would probably just refuse to vote for him for a slew of other reasons. But the idea of having my President be a member of a secretive, controlling, out-of-the-mainstream,* politically active, inherently racist sect bothers me. Sorry.
*-not that being mainstream is inherently a good thing, but if you're going to have all of these other characteristics it strikes me as preferable for a variety of reasons

so you are saying that the Office of the Presidency is a "secular" office...
which is also saying the government of the United States is a secular government...
so wouldn't that therefore imply the country of the United States is a secular country?
...
very interesting to hear you say this.
because this opens a whole slew of questions regarding the evangelical leanings of our current president and his efforts to steer the government towards one faith, and prejudicial against all others.11/24/2007 6:31:56 PM |
