Father in law purchased the Klipsch surround pack last Saturday form BB. That Sunday BB had it on sale for $100 cheaper. He went in and they gave him $100 back. This week HH Gregg had the same set for another $100 cheaper (friday/saturday only). When he went to get another $100 back they told him NO. Said...
1. They would not price match twice.
This doesn't make sense since they offer price match guarantee for 30 days.
2. Would not match 'black friday' deals even though we pointed out that this was friday and saturday deal.

Do they just make up ways to get out of their price match or what?

Sounds like a pretty standard policy.

I wouldn't price match either, unless it was that price at another store at the time you bought it at my store.

Or else you could buy a TV when it first comes out, then wait until the prices drop in like 4-5 months, and go get a "price match".

no stores price match black friday prices... period... if it's a friday/saturday deal it's the same thing as a black friday deal... point being it's an atypical sale

^^ Did not read the thread.

^ best buy doesn't charge a restocking fee on TVs (not that the thread is even about tvs). Only on cameras and computers.

maybe next time he wont buy expensive ass unneeded shit that can potentially drop 200 dollars in a manner of days

or maybe next time his dumbass will wait until black friday to purchase expensive ass unneeded shit so he can get it at the lowest price

just a thought...

imo, they should not have to pricematch from an after thanksgiving sale, especially since he already got 100 off the first time

Had it not been later saturday night he may have purchased it from HH Gregg and returned it to BB. Either way it was a great deal on the speakers.

You obviously have no clue how a price match works. You have 30 days to find an advertised lower price.

I worked at the BB @ Crabtree this Black Friday. We price matched but if and only if the store had the particular item in stock. If they had ran out of the item we wouldn't price match it. But that whole no price matching twice, while I've never seen it happen, sounds like some bull crap.

3 years ago, I bought an HDTV and price-matched it three times against best buy's own deals, including their "free" offers where they bundled in things like DVD trilogies and shit

was nice.

heh they have a 10 or 15% restocking fee on radar detectors as well.

I was totally gonna use an escort passport for the holiday weekend so I could do like 120 all the way home. Had to settle for some POS 150 dollar cobra mess from walzmart.

the only radar detector i'll purchase and keep is the V1 and i just can't afford to do that atm.

Because they are good speakers for the price. He wasn't interested in buying some POS bose speakers or any high dollar speakers from Tweeter.

I did 2 price matches on a laptop I got from CC.

I bought it on like a Thursday on the last day of a rebate deal.
Then they dropped the regular price twice over the next 20 days.

Find receipt ... ??? ... profit

did you talk to a manager or just a sales person? if you push it, they usually will cave.

^ exactly, if you can't walk in there and get it, then no price match. This is pretty much every pm policy in the universe, anywhere.

don't let the word 'friday' confuse you in Black Friday. It is pretty standard for stores to have their big sales over Friday and Saturday. Most stores don't price match special sales like BF. And getting 2 price matches on 1 item is not standard practice. You should have seen the better of the two price matches before you jewed yourself.
