I just find the picture pf him funny. It's so stereotypical of movie depictions of fascists.

to be honest, last nights was the first debate this year i've seen more than 5 minutes of, or more than clips here and there. I watched the 2nd half on cnn.com.
and i have to say - for a "real debate" (ha, that's likely to happen), the crowd has got to go, or at least it needs to be populated with people who don't think they're at a Kenny Chesney concert. The candidates have to be able to speak freely without 1) pandering to the crowd at hand in order to get cheers, and 2) without being interuppted by cheering and booing crowds.
and the booing? WTF IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE? Are they at a high-school football game? Since when is it considered socially acceptable to loudly BOO presidential candidates who are supposedly trying to have a conversation about how to run this country? 11/29/2007 5:40:58 PM |

^^Almost all hardcore evangelical republicans (most of the audience) are the sort of people who love to wear their beliefs on their shoulders and shout it from the rooftops. Doesn't surprise me that they'd be doing this. Besides that, even being able to compare a presidential debate to a Kenny Chesney concert should show just how much of a joke the process has become.
Oh, and I almost forgot what I came into this topic to say: The moderator/announcer/whatever-he's-called of this debate was pretty bad. Didn't seem to have control of things at all.

These are the same people that think their Dodge Ram with the confederate flag is the shit - say git errr dun - think 9/11 happened b.c the Iraqi terrorists hate our freedom - bought the bullshit pre-Iraq invasion - probably never went to college. - Hate illegal immigrants b.c they still their jobs laying bricks, and picking berries at the farm11/30/2007 12:58:50 AM |

I have no need to watch the democratic debates. Who i vote for depends on who wins the Republican primaries and how I assess their stances on issues on the topics I care about. I do not like Hillary but will be forced to vote for her if a Bush Jr. is the GOP frontrunner. Obama is slightly higher on my list.
right now my voting programming has a lot of conditionals 11/30/2007 10:30:08 AM |

actually if you think about it, the open house forum with booing and cheering goes back to the founders' days during town hall debates 11/30/2007 3:31:28 PM |

^^^^^ wow. You really used the word "still" in place of "steal." Never seen that one before. Throw in the usual their/there and then/than and that was one entirely unreadable sentence
