The microphone on the one I was using seems to have died for some reason (it works but it barely picks up any sound). I'm looking for a pretty cheap one, under $20, show me what you got.

This seems to be decent for the price, I'd get it if I was limited to $20.

Here's one I'd get for about $35

Here's one for $62, of what I've reviewed, seems to get pretty good and you cant go wrong with sennheiser. Just bought the set today so hopefully I'll be able to test them out later next week.

sennheiser has a good rep but im not a fan of built in/movable mics like that. from my experience moving it up and down will eventually make it shit out.

got some of these now and they have a clip-on mic that i just clip to the headset cable if i actually want to use it

got'em for like 35-45 on sale a while back

Moving the mic up and down on my old headset might be the reason it crapped out on me now that you mention it.

Any recommendations for a simple, single ear headset? I've looked into using my Bluetooth headset on my PC, but that is apparently a giant headache that is not even worth trying.

is your computer bluetooth enabled? My laptop is bluetooth enabled and I can use it flawlessly with my cell phone headset, even connect to my cell phone. Some bluetooth wireless mouse or keyboard+mouse will allow you to connect other bluetooth items.

No, I'm pretty sure it isn't. I got it back in 2005 and it is a pretty basic system.
