Friend burned a Dual Layer DVD-R(+) of the retail version of leopard. Turns out mac combo drives can't read DVD-R(+)

So now I'm trying to convert the entire disk to a DMG which I can run as a bootable partition on an external hard drive. WTF

Try using the original DVD or heck, even buying a copy.

^lol, at no point did I say I was using some 'pirated' copy or that I haven't bought a copy. Merely that I noticed that a legitimate backup on a Dual Layer DVD doesn't work on combo drives.

SOME people might find this info and a solution to it useful
