so my laptop used to pickup wireless fine (internal card), but when i moved into an apt complex i had to reconfigure my connection shit so that i could get onto the apt's cable internet, now i don't pick up any wireless networks anymore, i've tried to reconfigure my comp, and now i can detect and even connect to wireless networks, but i can't access the internet still.....

my comp says i'm connected to the wireless network, but when i open up ie, or try to use an online app (poker software) it doesn't detect the network, plz help.

explain plz.

Sounds like your device is enabled, but you're looking for a static IP or something. Did the apt ask you to manually enter an IP address in? what exactly did they make you change?

i don't remember precisely, i guess that's the problem, but i definetly changed something with the ip handling, i don't think i put in an exact ip, but i changed how it was accessed or something....i treid to restore all the default config shit, but idk, what are the major options i should have configed for wireless ip and shit

again, my computer says it's connected to the wireless net, but i can't access the internet.
