I have heard they dont work, heard they can clog up the coolant passages, etc..... and I have also heard they work but only for a short time.

My roommmate has this busted ass saturn sedan with a bunch of miles on it. He basically wants to get it to where it will run til mid january. The head gasket is surely blown. this car dumps white smoke out the back like its doing a smoke show burn out contest.

Where can I get some head gasket sealer, just to temporarily hold it off.

Get some K&W Metallic Block Sealer. Advance has it, about 6 or 7 bucks a can.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

It worked for a year for my old man's Toyota T100 with 3.4L V6. We did it again, and he's still driving it.

Fuckin' head gasket set was over 400 dolla for the damn thing. Screw that. Truck has almost 385k miles on it now, a little under 300k when the gasket blew. Pops is shootin' for the 400k+ mark.

Other than being incredibly dirty, this truck is in pretty damn good condition. I wouldn't be afeared to drive it anywheres.

I've used the stuff on a Ford 302 before and it worked very well and lasted a long time. It just depends on how bad the problem with the head gasket is and where the leak is located.
