^^ i've had that exact same thought several times
that kmart has to be one of the poorest uses of real estate ever
it gives the whole area around it a shitty vibe

lol, well yeah. if you arent getting it then UA all the way.
there was a breakdown of where they setup Kmarts, walmarts and targets.
i dont know the exact figures but it turned out to be
Kmart=lower class Walmart=middle class Target=upper class
now dont think lower class means homeless, and upper class is richy rich.
but you kind of see the drift.

i don't think that is necessarily true
kmart was bigger before walmart and target took off so they initially bought real estate in areas which were populated heavily in the 60s, 70s, and 80s
i havent seen any expansion by kmart in years..i'm sure it has something to do with their bankruptcy
i just wish they would completely go out of business and either target or walmart could take over their locations
every shopping center in raleigh where there is a kmart looks insanely dated
