" ACC Player of the Year

Matt Ryan, QB Boston College
He threw too many interceptions (18) and struggled in a few of the biggest games of the year, but he provided college football with one of the most thrilling three minutes in the road win over Virginia Tech and led his Eagles to the ACC title game. When he was needed down the stretch, he came through, even if his team lost three of its final five games, with two 400-yard games and three 300 yarders. If nothing else, he was the signature national player for the ACC throughout the season.

Defensive Player of the Year - Jamie Silva, FS Boston College
Virginia DE Chris Long is the ACC's most talented defensive player, and might be the league's best player, but Silva had the best season of any defender finishing sixth in the league in tackles while coming up with six interceptions. He was all over the place in the loss to Florida State wit 18 tackles, 15 solo, with a sack.

I dont know... Brooks was pretty damn good

Quote :
"This season, Brooks ranks first in the ACC?and fourth nationally in punting (45.5). He has punted 61 times for 2,778 yards and only 19 of his 61 punts were returned. Nearly half (30 of 61) of those punts were downed inside the 20 yard line. He booted a career-high 77-yarder against North Carolina and the average starting position for opponents following a Brooks punt has been the 18-yard line."

if you mean kicker as in a person who kicks... if you mean place kicker then I dont know

everyone always just loves the random fat foreign place kicker that bowden finds every year.

percentage should be the most important thing, not his fault he wasn't asked to kick more.

Wow. That kinda stings.

I'm actually not going to argue that Hauschka should have been on the all-ACC team. Our inability to score made his overall scoring fairly low. It does seem wrong that he wasn't listed in the top 5 kickers, considering he has the best freaking FG percentage in the league...sigh.

Yeah, this list is obviously bull shit. I mean we sucked, but we had some players, namely Dajaun Morgan and Hauschka, more than worthy of making the list. Morgan had 90+ tackles from his safety position, in addition to three key picks. And the Hauschka thing has already been hashed out. Fuck the makers of this list. They don't know shit.

^^^ How does that not make any sense, you dumbass? I said I would still talk about State sports and obviously if I'm talking about them, I care what's going on with them. But some arbitrary list a bunch of uninformed fuckers like yourself made up isn't worth my time arguing about; however, calling you out for being a troll, and a stupid one at that, is worth my time.

You and I are watching and writing about sports right now, but I don't think myself informed enough to be the last word on sports in general. Especially since I've never played them at that level. Hence, the "uninformed" qualifier in one of my posts above. The same can be said for the vast majority of sports writers. And you're doing everything but disproving the fact that you're a troll in this thread.

^ If they make State look unduly bad, then sure, I'll take issue with it. People who are writing that NC State basketball is in trouble, I have no issue with because it's true. I put a lot more stock in something being said by someone who's played or coached in that sport before, and who is not some writer who had all day to sit around and think of how he was going to stir up controversy/boost ratings next. After all, I thought you took issue with there being no State players on the list as well. Does that make you a homer too?
