players who retired before 2003 aren't on the list, so that rules out mcmichael
if he were on roids though, he must have stopped when he was traded to the mets!

I honestly can't wait either, being a Cardinals fan there are a few I think we have to worry about.

I read a NY paper saying NO current Mets are on the list... so no Beltran if that is true (which it might not be).
I demand the 2000 World Series (unless Piazza is on there). Fucking Pettitte and Clemens, 2 of the 4 pitchers we faced, were illegal...

there was some discussion today up here in baltimore on talk radio about how crushing it would be if ripken was on the list. he's essentially a god up here, and he's always been a real positive player and face in the community. but because he recovered from injuries so quickly to keep his streak alive, there's been some speculation. 12/13/2007 11:10:35 AM |

I'm really glad Pedro isn't on the list. I made the case with a friend of mine that Pedro was the greatest pitcher who ever lived. He claimed it was Clemens. I based my case on Pedro's W/L percentage and his unbelievable almost sub 1 WHIP as a good indication of just how good he is. 12/13/2007 11:19:33 AM |

I've made that argument on here... Pedro is now, officially, the best pitcher of our generation in my mind. The only argument I usually got was Clemens...
Pedro still has the all time lowest ERA+, the all-time best winning % and has one of the most dominant 7 year stretches in the history of the game (and he did it in a steroid era in the AL East mostly and in Fenway Park).

There's already talk that the report is already losing credibility due to the fact that it was headed by a director for the Red Sox and already is known to name several prominent Yankees
It was funny, last night while I was watching ESPN I just happened to see a whole bunch of MLB players scrolling on the bottom line and I was like OH SHIT names have been leaked! Turns out it was just a list of non-tendered free agents

also Ryan Klesko has GOT to be on there based solely on how much he'd get pissed off and cuss out the umps all the time, or scream and cuss at himself after striking out
i think one of the things thats going to surprise the casual fan is how many pitchers are named since the casual fan perspective is still that roids are mostly used to hit homers 12/13/2007 11:35:36 AM |
