oh man, i hated ma242

i'm really really good at calculus... but in 2 dimensions.

switch it to 3d (and beyond) (which is basically the entire ma242 curriculum) and i'm dead

we get a 3"x5" note card (both sides) to write whatever we want

I think with that I'll be fine.

Calc 3 is like Calc 1 with another variable(dimension). I did well in it.

Calc 2 sucked for me.

PY208M seemed harder, but more interesting than MA242. Hell after taking PY208M (got a B+) this seems like review for a lot of it.

if you can make an A in 2, you can make an a in 3--it's really not any harder

two funny things:

1) I was sitting here studying then from between the wall and my cubical on the channel where network cables are in up walks this big ass spider right next to me. So I threw that shit in the trashcan and threw it outside.

2) Copenhagen Pouches FTW in DH Hill

^ I dont know of any NCSU Calc courses that allow calculators. At least I haven't seen one yet or any of my buddies in Calc.

Vahagn Manukian in like his first or second semester teaching here at State didn't know any better. I guess I lucked out a bit but he wasn't too good of a teacher either so things evened out.

lucky bastards, if I could use my Ti-89 Plat on the test then I could go to bed right now.

If you have an 89 you don't really have to learn anything except in Calc I. The 89 will do everything else for you.

I never let my students use calculators in fucking MA 107

most of us are onto the fact that you can program formulas into your calculator

i also thought 2 was harder... obviously depends on teacher but that was the case for me. i took the honors section of 242 to boot

i dont remember getting to use calcs... maybe in 3 but i cant remember

DNL: diff. eq. is generally the next math after calc 3 for engineers... since i was CSC tho i had linear algebra (which is harder than it sounds)

Vahagn Manukian... is who i had for linear algebra... and i suggest that no one ever take him for anything you need to learn about.
