honestly nothing yet. Unless you are big on downloading arcade games and original xbox titles. Or with the PS3 downloading PS1 games and their version of arcade. I don't so my hard drive is pretty much empty except for the rented hd movies I Get from the marketplace and saved games, downloaded game videos etc. out of the 120gb hdd I still have 100gb left.

From what I understand the really neat thing about the PS3 is that you can easily remove the internal hdd and replace it with any sata drive you want. Not sure on size restrictions though.

you know, not everything has to be a console war. I put that out there as a question, because I'm wondering if 20GB is enough for the kind of content that gets thrown up on Xbox Live.

and then you turn around and try to accuse everyone else of being a fanboy. You're completely incapable of discussing anything related to video games without turning into a babbling idiot.

My god you're sad.

correction. You added the 'slim' part without any explanation. I added the reason behind different HDD sizes depending on what kind of user you are. Clearly the only idiot here is you.

ummm... no. The first reply suggested a premium. I was under the impression that the premium only came with 20GB, so I asked "is that enough".

You obviously took that as an insult to your precious console, and immediately stood up to defend it.

It's ok, man. Really. I'm just amazed at how deep in denial you are.

I think its worth getting the bigger drive. I was surpised how much online content the XBox has. I was downloading a ton of game demos, online movies, etc. Its worth it to pay a bit more and have the space then to regret it. I 'think' that 1080p support isnt available in anything other than the elite. That was a factor in my purchase as well.

1080p is standard on all xbox360s. Just like the PS3 if you purchase the entry level model you won't have the right cables to view HD. Both entry levels come with RCA and not component/hdmi

id like to note that 20gb is plenty for a lot of ppl. i use about 10gb at any given time. got a few demos, couple movies, and about 20 xbla games. i just delete old demos and trailers if i need space.

yeah it is, and you never need the storage for media because you just stream it through windows media player11 and you're golden!

Hard drive space isn't a big deal at all, not sure why people even care.

You can't get 1080p from component cables, has to be HDMI. Also the 360 only upscales to 1080p, so none of the software is actually native 1080p.

You probably won't tell a difference and there aren't many titles on the PS3 that are 1080p anyway. You should just think about what you want to do with the console and what games you want to play and base your decision on that.

Hook up your ipod to the USB port. I need to do that because I use a mac and can't stream music to 360 without paying $$ for the software.

What type of TV do you have, skankinande?

TV resolution, console resolution, and game resolution are three entirely different aspects.

Quote :
"1080p is standard on all xbox360s."

I always read that 720p is standard, some at 480p and some at 1080i. Maybe the Elite has a 1080p standard, but the games are far from it, so all it is doing is upconverting, like \/ said.

Quote :

Actually, component cables are capable of 1080p, but TVs cannot accept 1080p through component, only through HDMI and DVI.

List of Native 1080p XBox360 games (2 titles):
Street Home Court
Virtual Tennis 3

List of 1080p supported XBox360 games (35 titles):
All Pro Football 2K8
Armored Core 4
Battlefield 2 (Platinum Hits)
The Bigs
Bioshock
Bullet Witch
Call of Duty 3
Call of Juarez
Command & Conquer 3
Dead or Alive 4 (Platinum Hits)
Dance Dance Revolution Universe
Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer
Fight Night Round 3
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
Harry Potter
Halo 3
Hour of Victory
Icon
Meet The Robinsons
Monster Madness Battle for Suburbia
NCAA 08 Football
NCAA 07 March Madness
Overlord
Pirates of the Carribean
Ratatouilio
Rayman Raving Rabbit
Saints Row
Shadowrun
Spiderman 3
Superman Returns
Surf’s Up
Tetris Evolution
Two Worlds
UEFA Championship Soccer
Vampire Rain

List of Native 1080p PS3 games (24 titles):
All Pro Football 2K7
Blast Factor
Calling All Cars
College Hoops 2K7
The Darkness
Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer
flOw
Full Auto 2 Battlines
Harry Potter
High Stakes on the Vegas Strip: Poker Edition
LocoRoco Cocoreccho!
Marvel Ultimate Alliance
MLB The Show
NBA ‘07
NBA 2K7
Ninja Gaiden
Pirates of the Carribean
Pixeljunk Racers
Piyotama
Street Home Court
Super Stardust HD
Transformers The Movie
Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection
Virtua Tennis 3

This is just what I've come across, so I may be wrong. I play my Gamecube via component to a Samsung DLP with Game Support. I have no lag and the color and details are amazing on just 480p(Max for GC). 720p and 1080p must be phenomenal if you have it hooked up correctly.

Most all of the newer ones have them, yes. You can check lots to get an idea, but if you buy from a high volume retailer, chances are you'll be getting a Falcon.

They are much better than some of the first couple of revisions. Then again, I have one from the first gen and it's fine so obviously YMMV but we all know the track record there.
