Okay, so that time has finally rolled around--the time when I still haven't gotten anything for my girlfriend's mom and step-dad and have no fucking clue whatsoever as to what to get them. They're the only people left on my gift list, and I seriously haven't got ANY idea of what I'm supposed to get them.
Does anybody have anything they give in circumstances such as these that's a little nicer than a gift card and not, you know, one of those prepackaged throwaway gifts from the department stores? I'm really in a bind. HALP. 12/17/2007 7:19:37 PM |

Thanks. Yeah, I've considered hooch. My Southern Baptist upbringing has conditioned me against it, but they're Catholics, and they're cool with drinking.
Any other ideas? 12/17/2007 7:30:57 PM |

If by "nice" you mean "Wild Irish Rose", then I'm way ahead of you. 12/17/2007 7:49:46 PM |

Last year I got my gf's parents a bottle of wine and a gift card to their favorite restaurant. They really liked it. 12/17/2007 7:55:03 PM |

im assuming you already decided against the homemade porno featuring their daughter...so id agree with the bottle of wine
though if you 2 are going to be seeing them over the break, then i would add cooking dinner for them with the wine, gets major points with the mom 12/17/2007 10:40:55 PM |

I should mention that I brought some wine when I visited them last time, but it didn't really count because it was a bottle my roommate left behind when he moved out (Qupe Syrah, I checked and some magazine rated it the best syrah under $20 so I brought it with me). 12/18/2007 12:13:20 PM |
