that would be really sucky, specially if you don't travel.

you could probably sell it and get money for it tho, luggage is expensive.

Oh man, growing up, I was really fat, and my cousin was really skinny. Plus, I'm almost a foot taller than her. My grandmother would get us the same outfit in the same size....

Every Christmas for like three years.

The sequined Mickey Mouse Purse set my aunt got me a year or two ago. When I told miska I wasn't putting a purse on my wishlist this year, and that I'd just buy one myself, she commented about that purse.

It was WRETCHED. My aunt thought that since SHE liked Disneyworld that year, everyone would rave about getting disney gifts they couldn't use.

I don't even wear socks that often. I've got enough socks for the next 2 fucking decades.

wool shirts that were expensive but I had never ever worn wool(Farmer Johns type) long sleeve shirts before. They are actually nice, I still have them, and never have worn them..still hanging in the closet. It is the thought that counts.....ones red and one is blue

I've still got socks in packages. Shit the pairs I have for the gym and dress socks might as well be new. I generally don't wear socks beyond those two times.

I had a gf whose parents would buy me cotton sweaters, expensive ones for what they are. She would buy them, based on the assumption that her husband doesn't like wool sweaters. I hate cotton sweaters. Wool FTW

A few years ago I asked for Majora's Mask for the N64. Instead I got some PlayStation game. I don't even own a PlayStation.

When I was 11, I asked for a puppy. There was a box under the tree that had holes in it, and I heard puppy whelping noises, and I was SO excited. I ran right for it, opened it up, and there was a little puppy stuffed animal, and my dad was playing a tape he'd recorded of my cousin's puppies to trick me. I don't think I've ever been so heartbroken in my life.

that is some fucked up shit?

Your dad went through the trouble of recording your cousins dog just to disappoint you? What else did he do to you when you were young?

5x^ That is pretty bad, but when I started reading the post I envisioned a dead/dying/maimed animal in the box. The fact that the desired outcome was to trick you into thinking it was a real dog makes it particularly disturbing.

One year my mom intentionally mislabelled all of the presents for my brother, sister, and myself (from santa). She was trying to get us to learn to share but we ended up fighting over whos presents were whos all day, and I dont think my mom really knew either. I was like 8 or 9

I once got work gloves one would use on a farm......I never had a use for those.

The ugliest pair of green pants I'd ever seen in my life, to make it worse my stepmother forced me to wear them to school. Mortifying.
