Depends on the severity of the break, how recently it was broken, your particular bone structure, etc.

Interestingly enough my Dad just had his deviated septum surgically fixed. It sounded like a rather unpleasant surgery.

i do have a doc, and i dont mind going, but i dont want to pay $25 co-pay and then the leftover balance for films just for some doc to pat me on the back and say "contrats you broke your nose"

i go to the doctor when there is a problem. When it might be a problem i post on here more to see if other ppl would go to the doc, think its problematic, ect. That way it doesn't feel as stupid for dropping the money on the doctor

I broke my nose twice in high school playing hockey. Never had anything done to it.. it doesn't look bad at all now and they can't really do much for it at the time...

a doc can probably straighten it out if its mis aligned.

i know a couple people who went too late to the Dr. and they had to go through surgery to break the nose back and line it up.

or he may just tell you he cant do anything now and would still have to re break the nose.

your best bet is pay $25. its your freaking health for crying out loud.

If nothing else, go to the Dr. to make sure it's not gonna give you breathing problems.

you can get a severe deviated septum which will eventually require surgery...

i highly doubt it's aligned right doing nothing...

my brother broke his nose during a basketball game but waited too long to goto the doctor and had to have rather painful surgery as a result....

i didn't knock it sideways i just rammed my schnoz into my skull, so i dont think allighment really is the issue. I think i just may have splintered the bone somewhere in the middle from the force

this is pretty much standard anytime you break a bone short of your little toe, even then you should probably go to make sure it's set right at least....

you can, and people do, get blood clots from bone issues much more minor than this, you don't want a stroke do you?
