I know Raleigh has "The First Night" celebration with the acorn dropping at midnight, but anyone know from experience where to go or which bars are the best for Raleigh on New Years Eve???

a friend of mine who works for artsplosure got me a VIP pass for first night raleigh

i know there isnt any alcohol being served during the event, but does anybody know if there is a VIP area that does serve beer?

and might i add that at least NY has some fucking culture- Although I love Raleigh, it is a manufactured city built with influences from all the other "great" cities throughout america-
