Thinking about getting a Sprint phone for business (90% of this device will be used to monitor web servers, access internet, e-mail and IM, and the occasional text or phone call).

SERO can hook me up for $35/month or something. Just a few questions, in which I need TWW expertise:

How's the service & call quality?
Internet browsing speed?
Customer Service relations?

Which do you prefer Moto q9c, or Mogul?

im happy with the service.

cust. service sucks ass.

internet browsing works fine as long as you're in the high speed coverage area. otherwise its fairly slow. i have a bb8830 and a treo 755

Someone on my myspace friends posted a bulletin about all the problems she had with Sprint. Extra charges on her bill, customer service people being bitches about removing them, etc. Take that for what it is.

It seems like every time one of these threads are made there's a shitty story for every cell company. Based off her story I wouldn't deal with them though.

I'm very happy with it.

CS does blow, but not as hard as cingular, and if you keep getting fucked over, search 'sprint' on consumerist. there's further help there.

my contract is up in september, and I will be sticking with them

^they make some errors, but once things are straightened out, it's not too bad. With cingular, they'd make the same mistakes every. single. month.

^&^^ thx & thx

I've been a huge fan of Alltel (mostly because a lady in my church is an agent with them). Customer Service meant calling her house and her fixing it the next day.

However to get what I want from Alltel it was going to be $89/month + new phone + slow data network. With Sprint I can get it for $35/month + EV-DO Rev.A. Less than half price, and 15-20x the speed. Made sense to me...

my line was classified as business for a while (the way they set it up) and that CS call center was always on point.

I've never had any major problems with sprint and I've been with them for about 5 years now. I'm redoing my contract this year and plan to stay with them. I wish they had coverage in my financees home town though....

their customer service sucks and they add stuff to your bill for no reason. Their coverage is ok. I'm usually ok in major areas.

-The gf...emce has sprint also though and might chime in later

I've always heard complaints about them but I've had them for a year and never had any issues. I have the SERO plan and you can't really complain when you have a $90 plan for $30 a month.

the service is about the same in the triangle area as other services. You can't really find any plan cheaper than the SERO plan right now for any cell phone providers. The trick is to find somebody to do it for you, because you can't get it through web or phone anymore.

I mean in the arena of wireless companies sprint is definitely the shittiest national carrier. It may be worth the hassle to you if the rates are cheap though.

They do also supposedly have the fastest web speed (only in areas with the upgraded evdo service)

I have had sprint for about 5 years now.

Before that, I had cingular.

Sprint works very well in both my area and my parents. Before I never had trouble with customer service, but recently I had an issue. It was resolved; however, it took longer that I wanted.

I would recommend them. I have referred them many times to family and friends (we both get money).

Cingular is teh sux.
