Ok...so Doc says I have a sinus infection so bad the the pressure ruptured my damn eardrum....now I have all this drainage coming out of my ear.....its fucking SNOT...

I had something like that happen but my eardrum didn't rupture.

Vodka and sleeping on the side that it drains out really helps.

If it's already ruptured, you are in the clear. The pain should be gone by now. You just won't be able to hear very much out of that ear until it heals.

I had this same shit for like the last 2.5 weeks. My ear did not rupture though. Just got so tight that all during Christmas I heard a constant ringing and if I let the ibprofrin run out would be on the verge of tears.

Thank god my shit did not rupture that must suck.

I've had a ruptured eardrum, but I had to have a skin graft to repair the rupture. It's not any fun, but at least you'll know next time you have a sinus infection or notice ringing in your ears from the fluid that it is time to high tail it to the doctor.

And yes, the fluid draining out of your ears is pretty yucky and it can actually smell pretty bad too.

Just got back from the Doc again....my right ear decided to let go

So now both drums are busted.

Doc says the right ear is not as bad as the left, and should heal up on its own.
I have to make an appt. with an ENT Doc because the left ear is so fucked that they may have to stich it back closed!..(Stiches in your eardrum?!?!?! FTW!!!) They may end up putting tubes in my ears to keep this shit from coming back.

Oh well, on an up note..Doc gave me an ass load of Vicidone.

Yes, I am aware that TWW is not a blog....But this is about some painful ass bullshit and i'm in a whiney bitchy mood.

had this happen when i was little

the pain was terrible, i couldnt stop moving, i was in school and my mom taught there and i told her i had a terrible ear ache and she thought it was just a headache and that i wanted to get out of school

i could not stop writhing in pain

then when it started to bleed she knew something was up, doctor said it was the worst burst he had ever seen

that ear still doesnt do as well as the other till this day

always had a history of ear aches tho, which i assume you do/did as well

Yea..I had ear aches when I was really young. Had to have tubes put in then. But I have not had any ear probs in like 18-20 years.

Mine busted when I had chicken pox and it spread to my throat, sinus, and ears. When it perforated this nasty orange juice came out.
