any idea where i can get either of these locally?

northern neck is my favorite, but i've only seen it up north (richmond is as far south as i've seen it), but red rock is a more than acceptable substitute

reed's from trader joe's, while good, doesn't have enough spice (though the ginger taste is there)

that tends to be consensus over (what i consider to be) real ginger ale

thanks for the suggestion, though...i didn't think i saw any there (and the staff was less than helpful), but it's entirely possible i missed it

yeah, i get my ginger ale from HT mainly because it's convenient

it's in the same section as the jones soda and whatnot

it's okay, but it's not red rock.

i don't mind ginger w/ my sushi, but i can't stand the overly strong gingerale.

You can buy Northern Neck online. But since Coke bought them out, I don't know if they still use the same formula.

If you haven't, you should try the Whole Foods 365 ginger ale. It's just the right amount of "spicy" for me, and it totally kills a hangover.

I'm happy with Blenheim's. Not sure if you can always get it at the HT, but if not, Fresh Market has it (last I checked at least).

I also like Dr. Brown's ginger ale. Not very spicy, but Extra Dry. Curiously refreshing, too.
