that's my prediction. if it happens you know the fix was in. young Tom Brady vs great record holder Favre in his last season. it'll sell millions of viewership and adverts. 1/5/2008 8:11:32 PM |

you could say it was a fix or you could say its a clutch playoff team against a team that is peaking at the right time. 1/5/2008 8:13:16 PM |

I'd think the NFL would want Dallas vs. Pats more than the Packers. Packers are a great story, but to get Moss/TO , and the pretty boy qbs all on the field together... thats the matchup the NFL would want. 1/5/2008 8:23:33 PM |

but the Cowboys suck and that's the bottom line. i just doubt they'll make it. too much faggotry on that team. 1/5/2008 8:41:20 PM |

you don't know if they are peaking or not, we'll see. they appeared to be before and after the bears game IIRC?

I cant give them the peak after watching their 2nd to last game which was the single most awful display of nfl football i think i have ever seen
They are extremely beatable next weekend, especially if/when the weather is bad 1/5/2008 10:14:22 PM |

It'll be two teams with questionable running games going against one another.
I'm far more confident with the Packers chances if the weather's good, but after watching the Packers perform last week in the cold, I'm not as scared as I was after the Bears game. 1/5/2008 10:18:58 PM |

the one team that could've beat the Patriots is about to get beat by the Steelers. that team is pretty pussy. they'll be owned by the Cowboys or the Packers soon. for some reason I think the Cowboys are tied up with the mob. 1/5/2008 11:06:35 PM |

I think the Jaguars v. Patriots can be a great game. However, I think Gerraud (sp?) is not ready for playoff football, and will not be able to figure out or handle Patriots defensive scheme. I don't think the Jaguars running game will do the damage people think they will.
Look out for the blow out...Brady to Welker & Moss early, making it a quick high scoring game, making Jaguars have to pass, thus deflating the running game. I am giving advantage to Pat's offense easily. And Pat's defense should easily be able to handle Jaguars early to let Brady get a couple quick scores.
Baring special teams mess up...Pats when by 14 or more.

Yeah Gerrard is ready for big time football, but I don't think for NFL Playoff Football. He did great job regular season, but Playoff has a way of showing 1st year play-off players for the youngin's they are. He needs his OL to open holes and his RB's to make plays for him. The less he has to throw the better chance the Jags have at winning. If he has to play from behind, or it somehow becomes a shootout...he won't manage.
By the way, I hate the Jags...simply b/c they came out at the same time and with basically the same logo as the panthers....

My prediction:
NCSU defeated Brett Favre in his last college game 31-27 in the All-American Bowl in 1990.
An NCSU grad (Rivers) will beat Brett Favre in his last pro game 31-27 in the Super Bowl.
