Bad commentators. Most of the time it is a former player they stick up in the booth who blows ass.

Also, I hate that anytime the ball is on the ground in a football game, no matter what inevitably a defensive player will pick it up and start running toward the end zone like it was a fumble, no matter how obvious it was that it wasn't.

Coaches in football mismanaging the clock/game at the end of the game. Notables include App State at Michigan. Should have never even given Michigan the ball back didn't have to either, take a knee to center the ball with 28 seconds, then line up and spike it with 5 seconds, plenty of time to do so....Next, Trinity vs. millsaps, enough said. When we went up on BC with 8 seconds to play and Amato kicked the PAT instead of taking a knee when we were up by one, why take a risk you don't have to?

My biggest pet peeves are in basketball and involve end of game situations. When you're team is down in the last two minutes and out of a timeout, you let their best FT shooter get the inbound and you have to foul him, I don't get it, double team their best FT shooter and force them to get it to someone else....NExt, when you're up and the other team has less than 5 seconds, and everyone knows they need to heave it to the other side of the court: GUARD the inbounds man, no question about it, people debate this, but I'll never understand why you would give the inbounds man a line of sight.

When 2 of the most talented teams slow the game down. It happens in pro soccer all of the time when a good team plays in a 4-5-1 formation and it happens in college basketball with the right coaches coaching a team.
